All the schemes of UP Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (UPSCFDC) will be known as Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jati Abhyudaya Yojana (PM-AJAY).
Goverment Scheme
The centrally sponsored scheme of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) for integrated development of Scheduled Caste (SC) dominated villages is being implemented since 2009-10. From 2018-19, the scheme implementation guidelines were extensively revised. During 2021-22, this scheme has been merged with two other existing schemes of this Department with an amount of Rs 1800.00 crore to be known as Pradhan Mantri Scheduled Caste Abhyudaya Yojana (PM-AJAY).This scheme was started on a pilot basis in which 1000 such villages were selected. In 2014-15, the scheme was expanded to 1500 more villages. From 2018-19 till now, 19080 villages have been selected under the scheme. As of 2017-18, all such villages with more than 50% SC population were eligible for selection under the scheme. From 2018-19, villages with total population 500 or more and more than 50% SC population are currently eligible for selection under the scheme.
