Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that nanotechnology will prove to be a game changer in the agriculture sector in the coming days. Addressing a large number of farmers after inaugurating the country's first Nano DAP plant by IFFCO near Kalol in Gandhinagar, the Minister said to adopt natural farming and reduce the use of fertilizers in agriculture without compromising on the scale of production. Mr Shah said that apart from increasing the budget and credit support to farmers, the government has also increased fertilizer subsidy following the rise in fertilizer prices globally. The minister said that unlike solid DAP and urea, liquid nano DAP will not affect the nutrients in the soil and will not contain any harmful metal particles. He said that the farmers of the area will greatly benefit from the DAP plant.
