Union Minister Jitendra Singh launches dashboard of Department of Science and Technology for effective parliamentary functioning

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today launched the dashboard of the Department of Science & Technology, DST, for nationwide monitoring and feedback to ensure effective implementation of DST funded projects, schemes, scholarships and fellowships. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Singh said that the dashboard contains minute-by-minute details of more than twenty thousand crore rupees disbursed by DST to two thousand seven hundred and sixty-eight agencies in thirty-five states and union territories in the last five years. Highlighting the features of the dashboard, the Minister said that through the dashboard, details of each scheme and program for any group in every state can be obtained on a real-time basis. States will be empowered to suggest corrective measures for SC/ST/OBC and age and gender-based impact analysis of schemes and scholarships for general castes has been included in the dashboard, he said.
