India Re-elected as President of Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) for a Third Successive Term

Apoorva Chandra, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that this is the first time in the history of AIBD. This step reflects the confidence that broadcasting organizations in Asia Pacific and around the world have in India. India has been elected as the Chair of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) General Conference (GC) for the third consecutive time. Prasar Bharati, India's public service broadcaster, represents the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Development Institute. India previously served as Chair of the AIBD GC for two terms, from 2018 to 2021 and from 2021 to 2023.
