MOC&F launches web portal with statistical data of chemical sector

The Central government on Tuesday launched a web portal providing statistical data related to the chemical sector for the benefit of all stakeholders. The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers said the portal www.charak.chemicals.gov.in will facilitate collection of data related to various aspects of the chemical sector, such as production, installed capacity, exports, imports, purchases and sales. The web portal developed by the National Informatics Centre, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, was launched at a workshop organized by industry body FICCI in New Delhi. The department has planned workshops in various cities including Vadodara, Vapi, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad during October-November to increase awareness about the web portal.
