Ministry of Steel confers National Metallurgist Awards 2022 to recognize excellence and contribution of metallurgical experts in the iron and steel sector

Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, while addressing the participants at the ceremony of National Metallurgist Awards (NMA) 2022, congratulated five eminent metallurgists on being awarded the prestigious NMA 2022 in four categories. Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Steel and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion of NMA 2022 ceremony. Attention was also drawn towards Industry 4.0 technologies, greater synergy between the ferrous and non-ferrous metals sectors and collaborative research platforms, working on issues common to all steelmakers and use of brainstorming platforms by members. He urged the academia to ensure supply of trained manpower for process metallurgy. The NMA 2022 notification of the Ministry of Steel received an overwhelming response and only after an intensive process of scrutiny and diligence, the awardees were selected for the National Metallurgist Awards. ​
