Kerala's Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission selected for United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) global list of case studies

Kerala's Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission has made it to the global list of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) case studies, earning yet another accolade for the state's innovative program for grassroots development. UNWTO said Kerala tourism has been successful in maintaining the world body's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while boosting the travel industry in the state. Kerala has been cited for employing local resources and products while promoting RT destinations, thus finding resources to implement its objectives towards realizing the SDGs. Congratulating the State RT Mission on this achievement, Tourism Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas said Kerala's initiatives to promote sustainable and inclusive tourism have been earning international accolades for some time now. Kerala's RT mission features among seven G20 countries, while Maharashtra is the only other one to feature in the list. Indian state, which cites its Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve Project.
