Entertainment channel COLORS has collaborated with the Ministry of Women and Child Development to support the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative to bring about social change. The collaboration will help raise awareness about girl abandonment through its latest show Dore, starting Monday. The ministry said, television as a medium has played a huge role in mirroring the society and has inspired many women to become agents of change. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani said the government has made considerable progress in changing the way girls are thought about through the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative. He said that the channel will also increase awareness about our child helpline number 1098 among the viewers and provide the much-needed popular support to this initiative. ​
