Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurates the first Global Conference on Cooperation in Enforcement Matters (GCCEM) in New Delhi

Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman presided as the Chief Guest at the inaugural session of the first three-day Global Conference on Cooperation in Enforcement Matters (GCCEM) in New Delhi. Sitharaman said the Global Conference on Cooperation in Enforcement Matters is a major step forward in networking and collaborative efforts by law enforcement agencies across the world, which will ultimately benefit not only India's economy but also the world economy. The theme is 'To fight requires a network'. The international conference aims to facilitate sharing of insights, best practices and act as a catalyst to enhance collaboration and create new partnerships with Indian Customs Administration partners. WCO has collaborated with Indian Customs to ensure broad participation of member administrations and international organisations, including senior representatives from the WCO Regional Intelligence Liaison Office (RILO) and the WCO Secretariat. ​
