Ambassador Indra Mani Pandey has officially assumed the charge of Secretary General of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Dhaka. He is the first Indian to hold this prestigious post. He succeeds Tenzin Lekphell of Bhutan.
