The Union Government has started disbursing incentives to states under the "PM-PRANAM" (Programme for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment and Amelioration of Mother Earth) scheme. States that successfully reduced the consumption of chemical fertilizers in the last fiscal year received 50% of the subsidy savings as a grant.
