The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), released data showing that India's Consumer Price Index (CPI) based inflation eased sharply to 0.6% in October 2025. This marks its lowest reading since June 2017, primarily driven by subdued food prices and disinflationary effects of recent policy measures. WPI (Wholesale Price Index) inflation also moved into negative territory at -1.0%.
