India's first Graphene Innovation Centre, established at the Digital University Kerala (DUK) in Kochi, has become fully operational. The center, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Government of Kerala, aims to boost research and development in Graphene—the two-dimensional carbon material known for its exceptional strength and conductivity. The facility will act as an anchor for start-ups and industries to develop commercial applications using graphene, positioning India as a global leader in the emerging material sector.
