Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi, flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains. The new routes are: Varanasi–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Ferozpur–Delhi, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru. The Varanasi–Khajuraho link is considered particularly significant as it boosts connectivity between the pilgrimage city of Kashi and the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho, promoting tourism and economic activity in the Purvanchal region. The launch is part of the Indian Railways’ mission to modernize and expand its high-speed connectivity across the nation.
