In September 2025, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP), inaugurated India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Pilgrim Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex, Tirumala Temple. The centre aims to revolutionize crowd management, safety, and monitoring at one of India’s most visited pilgrimage sites.
- The AI-powered Pilgrim ICCC has been developed under a Prono Bono Public-Private Model and funded by a group of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) philanthropists, reflecting collaboration between government and private stakeholders for advanced public services.
Main Point :- (i) The newly inaugurated ICCC is designed to provide real-time crowd prediction, faster queue management, enhanced safety measures, and cyber threat monitoring across Tirumala, ensuring a secure and seamless experience for pilgrims.
(ii) Powered by Kloudspot Inc. and NVIDIA’s high-performance computing, the centre integrates AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Digital Twin Map technologies.
(iii) It features over 6,000 AI cameras, can process 3.60 lakh payloads per minute, 518 million events daily, and generate 2.5 billion inferences every day in real time.
