Godrej Aerospace Signed 5-Year Deal with Safran Aircraft Engines to Manufacture LEAP Engine Components.

On September 12, 2025, Godrej Aerospace, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, signed a five-year agreement with Safran Aircraft Engines, France, to manufacture titanium-based critical components for LEAP aircraft engines developed by CFM International, a joint venture between General Electric (GE) Aerospace and Safran.
- The LEAP engine powers next-generation narrow-body aircraft such as Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX, with Indian airlines having placed orders for over 2,000 engines.
Main Point :- (i) Under the agreement, Godrej Aerospace will produce complex ventilation assemblies made of titanium, involving advanced machining, high-precision welding, and non-destructive testing to meet international civil aviation standards.
(ii) The deal highlights Godrej’s growing role in aerospace manufacturing, positioning India as a reliable global partner in supplying high-value aircraft engine components to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
(iii) This collaboration strengthens India’s footprint in the global aerospace supply chain and boosts the ‘Make in India’ vision by integrating advanced aviation technologies into domestic manufacturing.
