Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Unveils Vision Document "Viksit Tripura-2047".

On August 22, 2025, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha unveiled the vision document “Viksit Tripura-2047” at Pragya Bhavan, Agartala. This roadmap aligns Tripura’s development goals with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, aiming to make Tripura a self-reliant and prosperous state.
- The vision document carries the theme “Unnata Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura” (Advanced Tripura, Best Tripura), focusing on holistic development and social empowerment.
- It sets targets to achieve 100% renewable energy usage, universal literacy, and women’s empowerment, alongside expansion of international trade and connectivity.
Main Point :- (i) Tripura’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has already grown by 14.21%, with a projected target of USD 124 billion by 2047.
(ii) The plan emphasizes strengthening per capita income, boosting GDP, and ensuring equitable growth across sectors in alignment with Viksit Bharat 2047.
(iii) The document has been prepared in collaboration with the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), ensuring structured development pathways for Tripura’s long-term progress.
