GIFT City and Gujarat Technological University Ink MoU to Strengthen IFSC Education and Drive FinTech Innovation.

MOUs and Agreement

In August 2025, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India's first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to drive forward IFSC-related education, FinTech innovation, and research initiatives. This milestone marks a strategic union of academic expertise and industry potential.


      - GIFT City and GTU will jointly develop specialised academic offerings, including tailor-made courses, training programmes, and certification modules focused on IFSC operations and trending FinTech domains like digital finance and financial regulation.

      - A dedicated Centre of Excellence will be established to nurture talent and innovation in IFSC and financial technology. It will serve as a hub for research, skills development, and industry-academia engagement that aligns with the needs of GIFT IFSC.

     

Main Point :-   (i) Leadership from both institutions highlighted the strategic potential behind the collaboration. GIFT City’s MD & Group CEO, Sanjay Kaul, emphasized that this partnership will help build a future-ready talent pool capable of reinforcing India's status in the global financial–tech ecosystem, while GTU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajul K. Gajjar spoke about offering learners “unmatched exposure to global financial markets and technologies”.

      (ii) This partnership is positioned to play a pivotal role in strengthening Gujarat's emergence as a global financial hub by aligning education, research, and industrial demands within the FinTech and IFSC ecosystem.
