In July 2025, Nirmal K. Minda, Executive Chairman of Uno Minda Limited, was appointed as the Senior Vice President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) for the financial year 2025–26.

He currently heads Uno Minda (formerly Minda Industries), which manufactures a wide array of products for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a global player, operating 73 facilities across the world with products such as switching systems, lighting systems, acoustic systems, and more.

  • (i) Nirmal Minda has previously served as the President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) for three consecutive years.   • (iii) Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank, has also been appointed as Vice-President (VP) of ASSOCHAM for FY2025–26. His appointment is subject to final approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
