Microsoft Joins Hands with Yotta to Boost AI Innovation Across India.

In May 2025, Microsoft Corporation (USA) partnered with Yotta Data Services Pvt. Ltd. (Mumbai-based) to accelerate AI adoption in India by integrating Microsoft Azure AI services into Yotta’s sovereign Shakti Cloud platform.
- The partnership aligns with the IndiaAI Mission, a ₹10,372 crore initiative by MeitY (approved in 2024), aimed at strengthening India's AI ecosystem through enhanced compute power, indigenous applications, and AI innovation.
- Microsoft will contribute its Azure AI models, developer tools like Machine Learning Studio, security services, and GitHub integration to empower AI development across sectors.
- Yotta will provide its high-performance GPU infrastructure hosted entirely within India, ensuring data sovereignty and low-latency compute capabilities for faster AI processing.
Main Point :- (i) Both companies will work with government bodies, IITs, startups, and software firms to support over 500 proposals under the IndiaAI Mission focused on building indigenous AI models.
(ii) The joint platform will boost real-time AI innovation in key sectors like agriculture, healthcare, education, finance, manufacturing, retail, and media, enabling rapid model training and deployment.
