ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Air Connectivity Ranking 2024 : Delhi's IGIA Ranked 10th Among Top Hub Airports While Dubai Tops the List.

In May 2025, the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East (APAC & MID), based in Hong Kong SAR, China, released its Air Connectivity Ranking 2024, assessing regional airport connectivity.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped the ranking, emerging as the airport with the highest air connectivity in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region for 2024.
The report introduced a new 'Hub Connectivity Index' in its 2025 edition, which evaluates airports based on their ability to function as international transfer hubs.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA – DEL) was ranked 10th in the Hub Connectivity Index, showcasing India’s growing leadership in global aviation connectivity.
Main Point :- The 2nd and 3rd positions on the hub list were secured by Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) in China and Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Qatar, respectively.
The APAC and MID regions experienced a 14% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth in air connectivity, driven by a strong recovery in international travel demand, airline network restoration, and the reopening of key travel routes.
The report also noted a 13% increase in overall connectivity for the Asia-Pacific region and a 28% increase for the Middle East region, compared to 2023, indicating a robust post-pandemic rebound.
