In April 2025, the "Investigation, Prosecution and Conviction Portal" developed by the Technical Services Unit of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police received the SKOCH Award at the national level in the ‘Police & Safety’ category.

  • - Prashant Kumar, Director General of Police (DGP), Uttar Pradesh, was awarded the SKOCH Award Certificate by Naveen Arora, Additional Director General (ADG), Technical Services, in New Delhi, Delhi.
  • - The portal is instrumental in tracking serious and sensitive criminal cases such as mafia-related offenses, cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, rape, and other heinous crimes.
  • - It enables real-time monitoring of investigations, supports timely filing of chargesheets, and allows for efficient tracking of court trials.

  • (i) To date, the portal has contributed to around 85,000 convictions, while resolving over 40,000 long-pending cases from the past five years.
