On April 03, 2025, Union Minister C.R. Patil, Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS), recently launched three key digital initiatives: the web-based ‘Reservoir Storage Monitoring System (RSMS)’ portal, a Water Resource Census Application (App), and its associated portal at Shram Shakti Bhavan, New Delhi (Delhi).

🎯 Key Highlights:

  • - These initiatives are aimed at enhancing water resource management, accessibility, and transparency.

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) The RSMS Portal has been developed to automate the creation of essential reports, including graphs, charts, tables, and advisories, which were previously generated manually.
  • (ii) This portal has been developed using the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) framework, making it one of the first government platforms to fully comply with the latest Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0.
  • (iii) The Water Resource Census App and Portal have been launched to support important census schemes, including: 7th Minor Irrigation Census, 2nd Census of Water Bodies,1st Census of Springs and 1st Census of Major and Medium Irrigation Projects.
