In March 2025, Dr. Himanshu Pathak, a renowned agricultural scientist, assumed charge as the Director General (DG) of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

  • - ICRISAT is the only international agricultural research center in India. Dr. Pathak succeeds Stanford Blade, who served as the interim DG of ICRISAT.
