On October 14, 2024, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) launched the first Multi-Purpose Vessel (MPV), Yard No. 18001, named Indian Naval Ship (INS) Samarthak. This ship is built for the Indian Navy (IN) and was launched from L&T's Kattupalli Shipyard near Chennai, Tamil Nadu (TN).
