On October 4, 2024, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Ministry of Railways, attended the 40th Raising Day Parade of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at the Zonal Training Centre in Nashik, Maharashtra.

🎯 Key Highlights:

- As the Chief Guest, he presented Police Medals for Meritorious Service to 33 RPF personnel and honored them with Jeevan Raksha Medals for their bravery in saving passengers' lives during 2023 and 2024.

💡 Other Important Facts:

(i) The minister announced a grant of ₹35 crore for upgrading and modernizing RPF Zonal Training Centres, with a focus on improving facilities for women.
(ii) An additional allocation of ₹5.5 crore was made to enhance training infrastructure at the RPF Dog Squad Zonal Training Centre in Tamil Nadu.
