The Khelo India Para Games 2023 wrapped up in New Delhi on December 17 with Haryana winning the inaugural title by securing 105 medals: 40 gold, 39 silver and 26 bronze.

KIPG 2023 began on December 10 and witnessed the participation of around 1,450 para athletes from across the country. Uttar Pradesh came second on the KIPG 2023 medal tally with 62 medals: 25 gold, 23 silver and 14 bronze while Tamil Nadu finished third with 20 gold, eight silver and 14 bronze medals. Athletes represented 32 states and Union Territories at the inaugural Khelo India Para Games.


      The Games also witnessed an Asian record being bettered by Haryana's Pranav Soorma, who improved his Asian Para Games gold medal-winning performance of 30.01 with an effort of 33.54 metres in club throw event.
