India and European Union signed MoU to deepen cooperation on semiconductor ecosystem and enhance resilience in semiconductor supply chain.

MOUs and Agreement

India and the European Union have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation on semiconductor ecosystem and enhance resilience in the semiconductor supply chain. The MoU was signed by Minister of Electronics, Information and Technology and Communications Ashwini Vaishnav and European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton during a virtual meeting of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council. The meeting was co-chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. From the European side, Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis and Vice-President Vera Jourova chaired the meeting. The Ministry of External Affairs said, the MoU symbolizes the strong commitment between India and the EU to work together on building strong semiconductor supply chains and innovation. ​
