India’s ACME and Japan’s IHI Corporation Signs pact to supply Green Ammonia from India to Japan!

The agreement, signed by Manoj Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman of Acme Group, and Hiroshi Ide, President and CEO of IHI Corporation, paves the way for the supply of 0.4 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA) of green ammonia from Odisha, India, to Japan.Gurgaon-based ACME Group signed an offtake term sheet for the supply of green ammonia from its project in Odisha to IHI Corporation, a Japanese integrated heavy industry company. The term sheet covers the supply of 0.4 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA) of green ammonia from Phase-1 of ACME’s Gopalpur on a long-term basis.


      This agreement is a crucial move in lowering global greenhouse gas emissions, set to offset 54 million tons of Carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent over its lifecycle.

      This is one of the first agreements in Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia of this scale in the world.

      The total investment of the project costs around USD 5 billion
