Former SBI Chairman Dhrub Narayan Ghosh passes away, he was 95.

Dhrub Narayan Ghosh, one of the giants of Indian banking, passed away in Kolkata. He was 95 and is survived by his wife Taapsee Ghosh, daughter Suparna Ghosh, Ranjan Ghosh (son-in-law) and Anisha Ghosh (granddaughter). Ghosh was the Chairman of SBI from 1985 to 1989 and is credited with several financial reforms in the country. He also served as Chairman of Peerless General Finance and Investments for more than 10 years, from 1996 to 2006, leading the company through a period of turmoil. Expert in banking and financial history, D.N. Ghosh was a bureaucrat, banker, professor and corporate leader. It was during his tenure in State Bank of India that the computerization campaign of branches started.
