Eastern Air Command (EAC) conducted its annual command-level exercise 'Poorvi Akash'. The exercise demonstrated the operational readiness of the Indian Air Force.

The Indian Air Force recently conducted the 'poorvi Akash' mega aerial exercise to test its major weapon systems. The exercise included S-400 air defense missiles, indigenous fighter aircraft Tejas and LCH Prachanda. The Indian Air Force has acquired three squadrons of S-400 air defense missile systems from Russia, which have been named Sudarshan after Lord Krishna's Sudarshan Chakra weapon. The exercise included S-400 missiles, Su-30, fighter planes like Rafale and Tejas as well as ground troops. 30, Rafale and Tejas fighter aircraft, along with army personnel on the ground. The exercise showcased the operational readiness of the Indian Air Force, especially the Eastern Air Command, which manages air operations over a vast area spread over 12 states, including seven north-eastern states.
