Tata Advanced Systems partners with Satellogic to develop local space technology capabilities in India

Tata Advanced Systems (TASL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, has entered into an agreement with NASDAQ-listed Satlogic to manufacture low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and develop space technologies in India. This collaboration is the first step in TASL's satellite strategy and marks an important milestone for SatelliteLogic as it enters the rapidly growing Indian defense and commercial market. TASL and Satellogic will collaborate on the development of a new satellite design and work together to integrate multiple payloads on a single satellite that will generate a variety of data in India. The projects will begin with training, knowledge transfer and local assembly of optical sub-metre resolution EO satellites, the first of which is planned to be launched as TSAT-1A. TASL, the aerospace and defense company of the Tata Group, and Satelilogic One will collaborate on the development of new satellite designs and work together to integrate multiple payloads on a single satellite that will generate a variety of data in India. ​
