World Toilet Day is celebrated every year on 19 November. This year's theme is to bring rapid change.

Important Days

World Toilet Day is celebrated every year on 19 November. Sanitation, good hygiene and access to clean toilets and water are basic human rights. On World Toilet Day, people come together to create awareness on the importance of cleanliness. Many serious diseases can spread due to poor sanitation and hygiene. They also try to explore options to make sanitation accessible to all. In 2001, the World Toilet Organisation, an NGO founded by philanthropist Jack Sim in Singapore, declared 19 November as World Toilet Day – deliberately choosing World Toilet rather than sanitation for better public perception, relevance and easier public messaging. I went. NGOs pushed for public recognition and acceptance of World Toilet Day and in 2007, the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance also began to actively support World Toilet Day. World Toilet Day became an event in 2010 when the United Nations declared the human right to water and sanitation as a basic human right.
