PM Modi Varanasi itinerary 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi on Saturday, September 23, where he will lay the foundation stone for an international cricket stadium. Apart from this, he also inaugurated 16 Atal Residential Schools built at a cost of about Rs 1,115 crore across Uttar Pradesh. During his one-day visit, PM Modi also participated in the closing ceremony of Kashi Sansad Cultural Festival 2023. According to a PIB release, the foundation stone of the Prime Minister's Cricket Stadium was laid at around 1.30 pm, which is being developed in an area of 30 acres at a cost of approximately Rs 450 crore. "The thematic architecture of this stadium takes inspiration from Lord Shiva, with designs developed for the crescent-shaped roof cover, trident-shaped flood lights and ghat ladder-based seating arrangement," the release said.
