Nagaland was conferred with seven national awards on the first Van Dhan Annual Awards 2020-21. The awards were distributed during the 34th Foundation Day of TRIFED (Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited). The awards were distributed by Union tribal minister, Arjun Munda through a video conference. The details of the seven awards are as below: Nagaland has gained 1st rank in categories like ‘Best Survey State’, ‘Best Training’, and ‘Most number of VDVKC’s established’. The state has won 3rd rank in ‘Best Sales Generated’, and ‘Best Innovation & Creativity’. The state was also awarded for Innovative & Creative Product Ideas for commodities like Gooseberry Wine (Supplier: Toka Multipurpose Society Ltd.); Mushroom Cultivation (Supplier: NBHM).
