Axis Bank signs an MoU with Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) to promote financial inclusion and literacy in India

Axis Bank and Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 06, 2023. This MoU is for the establishment of Axis Bank Chair for Financial Inclusion in IRMA. The broad objective of the Chair is to enhance and accelerate the progress of financial inclusion (FI) and financial literacy in India. The main goal of the Chair is to lead and manage field-based research efforts that support the development of national and state-level financial inclusion policies. This includes formulating financial inclusion strategies tailored to India's needs, enhancing the capabilities of the banking sector in the area of financial inclusion, organizing workshops, round tables and seminars and providing educational courses at the institute. The partnership between Axis Bank and IRMA marks a remarkable progress in enhancing the awareness and dedication of these organizations to advance financial inclusion and financial literacy across all sectors of the Indian society.
