Red Bull's Max Verstappen wins Sao Paulo Grand Prix with record 17th F1 win

World champion Red Bull's Max Verstappen took his 17th win of the Formula One season in Brazil. He achieved this remarkable feat by leading from pole position at the São Paulo Grand Prix, a race which was jeopardized and later restarted. Lando Norris of McLaren finished second, earning an extra point for setting the fastest lap. In a thrilling contest that extended to the checkered flag, Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso narrowly beat Red Bull's Sergio Pérez to take third place. The Spaniard crossed the finish line just 0.053 seconds ahead of the Mexican when Pérez passed him on the final lap. Alonso, the oldest person to race at age 42, finished last. With this win, Verstappen's career win tally now stands at 52. The championship title had already been won, and Red Bull had also won the constructors' title. Notably, Red Bull has emerged victorious in 19 of the 20 races held this season.
