Shri S Krishnan (IAS), Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) inaugurated the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Lab at NIELIT Gorakhpur on 16 October 2023 during the 26th All India Directors' Meeting of NIELIT. Created under the Future Skills Prime Project funded by MeitY with the objective of upgrading/re-skilling the manpower in emerging technology. This is the first laboratory of its kind in Uttar Pradesh under the FutureSkill Prime project, which has been set up to bridge the gap between industry and academia. MeitY Secretary said that this state-of-the-art RPA laboratory will help in transforming India into a global technology superpower.
