Robert Fico formally appointed Prime Minister of Slovakia

Bratislava, Oct 26 Robert Fico has been appointed Prime Minister of Slovakia for the fourth time following his Smar party's victory in the September election with 22.94 percent of the votes. Never before has any government faced such poor social and economic indicators." Meanwhile, he promised a sovereign, professional government committed to giving the Slovak population a better life. Earlier this month, Smar , the Social Democracy (Halaš) Party and the Slovak National Party agreed to form a coalition government. In the ruling coalition, the Smar Party oversees seven ministries, the Halas Party heads six departments and holds the role of Deputy Prime Minister, and The Slovak National Party manages the Ministries of Culture, Environment and the soon-to-be-established Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
