Union Minister RK Singh launches dashboard for Data on Adoption and Forecasts of Electric Vehicles

Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy RK Singh launched the EV-Ready India Dashboard in New Delhi on Monday. Addressing on the occasion the Minister said that the future is going to be electric. He expressed confidence that storage prices will come down and diesel and petrol vehicles will soon become history. He said, it is important for India to switch to electric mobility as the country aims to become the third largest economy in the coming years. He said, this goal will require self-reliance in the energy sector. According to the Ministry of Power and New and Renewable Energy, the dashboard is a free digital platform that focuses on real-time electric vehicle adoption and forecasting, associated battery demand, charging density and market growth trends. The dashboard is expected to facilitate greater inclusion among audiences for the industry, policy makers and end users of electric vehicles. The dashboard projects a 45 percent growth in electric vehicles by 2030.
