One Nation, One Election: Website launched during the second meeting of the High Level Committee

The second meeting of the high-level committee constituted by the government under the chairmanship of former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind was held to consider and make recommendations on the issue of holding simultaneous elections in the country. After welcoming the HLC members to the second meeting, Committee Chairman Shri Ram Nath Kovind confirmed to the members the minutes of the first meeting held on September 23 and the action taken on its decisions. The Committee was informed that as per the decision taken earlier, the name of HLC has been changed to 'High Level Committee on One Nation, One Election'. The Committee was also informed that letters have been sent to 6(six) national parties, 33 (thirty-three) State parties and 7(seven) registered unrecognized parties inviting their suggestions on One Nation One Election. The Secretary further informed the Committee that a website www.onoe.gov.in has also been developed for One Nation One Election.
