NLC India launches NIGEN, aims to have 6 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030

NLC India Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, announced the launch of its new wholly owned subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy Limited (NIGEL). This venture has been incorporated with a specific focus on leading all renewable energy (RE) initiatives. NIGEL's inaugural board meeting was held, during which key managerial appointments were confirmed and the company logo was adopted. Nigel Chairman Prasanna Kumar Mottupalli said the new company, which will focus on renewable energy (RE) projects, will expand RE power generation capacity. This will help in increasing it faster.
