Mukesh Ambani tops Forbes India's 100 richest people in 2023 with USD 92 million

India is currently on the rise and is being viewed as a premier destination by international investors, which has raised the bar for entry into the exclusive club of the country's 100 richest individuals. The minimum net worth required to join has now reached an all-time high of $2.3 billion. In the year 2023, Mukesh Ambani again regained the number one position in the list of 100 richest Indians, while in 2022 he slipped to the second position. Infrastructure tycoon Gautam Adani, who experienced a meteoric rise to become India's richest man for the first time in 2022, saw his fortunes fall sharply after a negative report by US short seller Hindenburg Research in January. Software giant Shiv Nadar is the matriarch of two Savitri Jindals. OP Jindal Group, a conglomerate specializing in power and steel, grew by a remarkable 46 per cent to reach $24 billion. Radhakishan Damani of Avenue Supermarts is in fifth place, although his wealth has declined from $27.6 billion to $23 billion.
