Indian Army and Air Force Contingent Departs for India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise KAZIND-2023

A contingent of 120 personnel from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force today departed for Kazakhstan to participate in the 7th edition of the joint military 'Exercise KAZIND-2023'. The exercise will be conducted from 30 October to 11 November 2023 at Ottar, Kazakhstan. The Indian Army contingent consists of 90 personnel led by a battalion of the Dogra Regiment. The Kazakhstan contingent is represented primarily by personnel of the South Regional Command of the Kazakh Ground Forces. The current edition of the exercise will see the participation of 30 air force personnel from both sides along with army contingents. 'Exercise Kazind-2023' will provide an opportunity to both sides to gain knowledge about each other's strategies, war exercises and procedures. Which is a prerequisite for operating within the scope of the United Nations. The joint training will develop the skills, flexibility and coordination required to conduct joint military operations in semi-urban and urban environments.
