Government of Assam and ASDM of Indian Army sign MoU for skill upgradation of ex-servicemen

Guwahati: Assam government signed an MoU with the Indian Army for skill upgradation of ex-servicemen and their dependents. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday visited the medieval era Ahom army at Bir Lachit Borphukan Park inside the Narengi Military Station in Guwahati. Colossal statue of Commander Lachit Borphukan and Swahid Memorial unveiled. Speaking about the MoU signed today between the state government and the Indian Army, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence that skill upgradation of ex-servicemen and their dependents will greatly help them in attaining gainful employment and self-employment. He talked about the steps like reservation in jobs for ex-servicemen etc. which the state government has taken for the benefit of the ex-servicemen community.
