HDFC Asset Management MD and CEO Navneet Munot has been appointed as the new president of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

The Association of Franchise Funds in India (IMFIR) on Tuesday said Navneet Munot, managing director and CEO of Digital Asset Embroidery, has been elected as the president of the industry. He was elected to the post at the board meeting after the 28th AGM held in September, PTI reported. Apart from AMFI chairman, the industry body's board also elected Anthony Heredia, managing director and CEO of Mahindra Manulife Franc Fund, as its vice-chairman. Navneet Munot will join Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Mirza CEO A Balasubramaniam on October 16. He is a Chartered Accountant and has over three decades of experience in financial services.
