The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday approved the re-appointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as MD, CEO of HDFC Bank.

HDFC Bank announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted approval for the re-appointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as the managing director and chief executive officer of the bank. The bank has stated that Sashidhar Jagdishan’s re-appointment will be valid for three years, commencing from October 27, 2023, to October 26, 2026. Furthermore, the bank has indicated that a Board of Directors meeting will be scheduled in the near future to formalise this re-appointment. The RBI had first approved the appointment of Jagdishan as CEO of HDFC Bank for a period of three years from October 27, 2020, when he took the charge from Aditya Puri.
