Reserve Bank of India publishes Scale Based Regulation-Non-Banking Financial Company Master Direction
Banking & Finance
The Reserve Bank of India has started issuing master guidelines on all regulatory matters from January 2016. The Master Guidelines consolidate instructions on rules and regulations made by the Reserve Bank under various Acts, including banking issues and foreign exchange transactions. The process of issuing Master Direction involves issuing a Master Direction for each subject which contains all the instructions on that subject. Any changes in rules, regulations or policy are communicated through circulars/press releases during the year. All changes will be reflected in the Master Guidelines available on the RBI website with the dates on which the changes have been made. Wherever necessary, explanations of rules and regulations in easy-to-understand language will be issued through Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) after the release of the Master Guidelines.
