The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved a combination proposal to rebalance the existing cross-shareholding between Renault and Nissan. Nissan will retain its 15 percent stake in Renault through a finance company. Renault will transfer 28.4 percent of its Nissan shares to a trust estate administered by a trustee governed by French law. Nissan and its subsidiaries in India are involved in the sale of passenger vehicles and automotive parts through its wholly owned subsidiary Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. Renault and its affiliates sell automobiles and parts in India through its wholly owned subsidiary Renault India Pvt. Ltd.
