India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin destroyed Australia captain Pat Cummins' bowling in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 final against India. Cummins led Australia to its sixth ODI World Cup title by defeating India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Australian captain was brilliant with his bowling performance in the final, taking two important wickets for just 34 runs in his 10 overs. He took the crucial wickets of Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli which helped Australia restrict the hosts to 240 runs in the final. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said that Cummins bowled only three balls within a radius of 6 meters and did not give the Indian batsmen a chance to drive. Cummins took 13 wickets in 10 matches in the ODI World Cup leading up to the final in Ahmedabad. Following his exploits in Ahmedabad, Cummins joined an exclusive list of World Cup-winning captains, becoming the fifth Australian captain to achieve the feat.
